The First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit has been extended for some military personnel. According to Housingwire, the House of representatives passed a bill 416-0 extending the first time homebuyers tax credit for service members who served overseas for 90 days in 2009, will get a 6 month FTHB Tax Credit extension. If passed by the senate, those who served overseas will have an additional 6 month to take advantage of the $8000 giveaway. Now this might be a compromise to not extend the thus far successful tax credit to everyone. Time will tell, but for now the credit for everyone else ends on December 1st.

DALTON Chiscolm is unhappy about Bank of America’s customer service So a few weeks ago, he sued the largest US bank and its board, for ………….1784 billion, trillion dollars. That’s a one followed by 22 zeros.  US District Judge Denny Chin said it was incomprehensible .He apparently alleges that checks have been rejected because of incomplete routing numbers. Judge Chin has experience with big numbers. He’s the judge who sentenced Bernard Madoff to a 150-year prison sentence for what the government called a $65 billion Ponzi scheme. The sum  of this lawsuit dwarfs the world’s 2008 gross domestic product of $60 trillion. Judge Chin gave this guy until October 23 to better explain the basis for his claims, or else he’ll see his complaint dismissed.

If you have a loan with GMAC, Citibank, National City Bank, Countrywide, Sachs or Saxon, you might have a better chance of getting a loan modification because the government just gave them 4.7 billion more dollars to encourage them to use the HAMP program.

That’s your news this week. I’m here to help you with any mortgage questions. Take a look at the rates below and call me to get yours locked in today, be sure to tell a friend about Facebook Friday, and if you haven’t already done so, go ahead and become a fan of the show on.
